Winter Warmers

We have so many new beers in this week it's almost a joke, let me wax lyrical about them or just scroll to the bottom for a list.

From Wild Beer Co we have Millionaire, this salted caramel stout is as sweet and salty as you could want. Following on from their Summer Blend (which we have a couple of bottles left), we have the Winter Blend. This is a guezue style beer but from Somerset instead of Pajottenland, it will age well in a cellar or can be enjoyed as soon as you have the bottle in your hands.

We've got five great Belgian Christmas beers now in stock too (it's under a month away, we can say the C word now). We have Bernardus Christmas Ale, St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël, N'ice Chouffe, Delirium Noel and De Dolle Stille Nacht. These are all dark, strong and sweet and will be a perfect after dinner treat instead of dessert.

We also have some gift packs from Brugse Zot, Westmalle and Delirium Tremens if you're looking for that perfect Christmas present.

From the USA we have some more seasonal beers. Replacing their Winter Ale is Brooklyn Insulated, a dark lager. This has some lovely dark and toasty flavours but has a light lager body making it a perfect winter beer. Something to refresh you whilst you warm up by a fire. Also from Brooklyn we have the Brewmaster Quarterly Experiment Quintaceratops, a Belgian style Quad aged in rum and bourbon barrels. This beer is a bit funky with flavours of tobacco and molasses and Phill can't wait for excuse to open one.

We've also got two seasonal offerings from Anchor, Winter Wheat and their Christmas Ale. The Winter Wheat is a smooth dark brew with a creamy head. It has subtle roasted flavour with hints of dark fruit and clean finish. The Christmas Ale is sturdy, toasty, and chocolatey with some toffee notes and hints of spices. It's also 5.5% and is a bit more sessionable then some of the other winter specials on the shelves.

From Flying dog we have Flying Dog K9 Winter Ale and Juniper White IPA. The K9 is another winter special with a sweet malt base with roasted, nutty, and spicy flavours. The Juniper White IPA is a nice refreshing change from the darker beers, your beery alternative to a gin and tonic.

Finally we have some coffee beers. Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout is 7.5% and the perfect beer for the weather due to come. Last and by no way least we have Founders Breakfast Stout. The famous baby is very much on these bottles. Get this while you can as we've haven't got much and it's limited to 4 per person.
