16th December Advent Calendar - Exhale Bacchus Pils
It's lager, but not as you know it. It's a collaboration between Exhale Brewery and urban winery, Renegade Wine - they folks who produce Rahul! This pilsner was fermented with pre-ferment unpasteurised Bacchus grape juice, and then they gave it skin contact for colour and light tannins and a chance for some small secondary fermentation from the skins’ wild yeast. The result is a clean crisp pilsner with grassy, citrus and elderflower notes from the Bacchus grapes.
