Butt is a wonderful pear which ripens late in the season. Hard as a rock until just when it ripens, this bottle is actually a blend of Butt grown on Broome Farm and on Carswell Farm.
The dual sourcing of fruit adds complexity to the single variety - showcasing the full range of Butt's characteristics of light acidity, a floral and elderflowery nose, with a gripping tannic finish. A magical, ancient pear to be treasured.
