Beer of the Week: Beak Brewery Parade DDH IPA

Beer of the Week: Beak Brewery Parade DDH IPA

Beak Brewery Parade IPA poured into a Caps and Taps glass. The beer is orange hued and slightly hazy.

I went into this beer with fairly high expectations. Beak's Locals was one of my favourite beers of 2020, and Lulla is one of the few table beers I feel can really rival The Kernel's. We have really learnt that Beak can brew a good beer.

Parade is just a really brilliantly drinkable DDH IPA, super fruity but pithy too, with a subtle bitter backbone that keeps you sipping (or glugging, you do you). Slightly sherbetty on the nose, it's really orangey on the palate, with some pineapple too, and I think I did detect a little bit of the bubblegum mentioned on the can too, although it's not cloying at all. It feels very easy drinking for 6% - good body but never getting too much! I'm pretty sad I can't get a pint of this at the moment to be honest, but for the time being a can will do just fine.
